Burn Permit
North Carolina Forest Service Burn Permit
Obtaining a burn permit is now more convenient than ever. You have the option to obtain an electronic burn permit through the North Carolina Forest Service website. Simply click on the NC Forest Service logo below to access the website. On the NC Forest Service website, you can easily fill out the permit application, receive the permit via email, and even print it if necessary.
Alternatively, if you prefer a hard-copy permit issued by the Denver Volunteer Fire Department, we are happy to assist you. If you reside in our fire district, you can visit our main station located at 3956 N NC 16 Highway Business between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Our friendly staff members will gladly provide you with a paper permit.
Please keep in mind that our fire department’s primary focus is responding to emergency calls. There may be occasions when all staff members are out on an emergency call and not present at the station to greet you. The duration of their absence can vary significantly depending on the situation. We kindly ask for your understanding and suggest that you take note of this possibility when planning your visit to the fire department.
